I just returned from the gym and look what was waiting patiently for me on my doorstep:
Can you guess what it is?
It's my Oompa Loompa cream!!!
Ok, ok, you got me--it's not Oompa Loompa cream. But it is my Hi-Definition Jantana competition "tan". YAY! Remember how I said in this post that I was so excited for this competition and already started ordering what I need 3 months out? Well, those items are starting to arrive! YAY-OH-YAY!!!
When I first saw the box on my doorstep I thought it must be my competition heels, but then I thought the box was just a teeny tiny too small to be my shoes, even though I do wear a size 5-5 1/2 Barbie shoe. When I picked up the package, clue #2 that it couldn't be the shoes, was how light the package was. And, um... clue #3... was that the label said Jantana. "By Jove! I think she's got it!" HA!
Like I said in previous posts, checking things off my list makes this goal that much more "real" to me and keeps me pumped up to do this! I thought the comp diet would be grueling and, even though I am really sick of chicken, egg whites and green beans, its not so bad considering each morning I wake up the "Incredible Shrinking Girl". Remember, before I made this bikini competition my goal two months ago, I had just lost 12 lbs of bodyfat doing Body-for-Life and didn't look ANYTHING like a bikini girl when I started. Now, though, each day I'm looking a bit more toned, defined and solid and I still have 81 days (2 1/2 months, roughly) to continue burning excess bodyfat. *Hopefully* I'll be right where I want to be in November. We'll see!
I hope that whatever your goals may be, whether you are training to run a half-marathon or just want to knock 'em dead in that LBD, you realize your own incredible strength and potential and let nothing extinguish that "fire" inside you. Even when it's tough and you feel like quitting, DON'T! It's usually at that moment that things start happening!
Question:
1) What goals are you currently striving to achieve? You all know mine, but other goals associated with this bikini competition are 1) lowering my cholesterol which is hereditarily high, and 2) after competition, continuing to maintain a super-healthy, active lifestyle and get my body ready for b.a.b.i.e.s :)

The only goal I have right now is to lose some of this weight I have had to put on to compete in Figure. I have no clue how I am going to do that when the only way I can see I will stop shoving anything that comes near my face in my mouth is to staple it shut and that would just be weird. Ha! Honestly though... just trying to get to my "normal" body. I miss it! :) I actually MAY compete in Bikini next year. We shall see!
ReplyDeleteOh P.S.... the new JanTana Ultra 1 is by far the darkest competition color I have ever used. One coat is all you really need for bikini day of show... I did do a couple touch ups but it is DARK!
