Oh my goodness, I'm totally psyched and I don't really know why! HA! This morning I went to the gym and did 50 minutes of cardio...
...and I think I'm still feeling the "high". When I got back from the gym around 6:50am, I picked up Hubbs (in my car. I'm not that strong, geez!) and we drove to 7:15am Mass (church). We've decided to go to daily Mass together to start our day with God first. (OK, OK, so technically I did cardio first, but our schedule just works out better that way) It's funny, though, because we are the youngest people there. Everyone else is either a little old lady or little old man. Cute.
While I was in Mass this morning, Mufasa started rattling his cage. He was not happy that nearly an hour had passed since I did cardio and I still had not eaten breakfast. He was r-a-v-e-n-o-u-s. ROARRRRR! As hungry as I was, I didn't dare complain as I looked up and saw Jesus on the Cross. I couldn't help but feel how teeny-tiny my sacrifice of eating breakfast later that usual paled in comparison to the sacrifice He gave us on Calvary. I told Mufasa to "Shut it. We'll eat as soon as we get home."
And. we. did.
Yesterday on Dawn's blog, she posted her recipe for sweet eggs. I thought it sounded heavenly so I tried this morning. FAIL. I don't know what I did, but it was soooo disgusting. Need proof?
Ick. When I brought it out to the balcony for breakfast, Hubbs nearly gasped and said, "Ewww, what the heck are you eating?" I told him, "It's a bowl of I'm-never-making-this-again." Seriously, it was so gross, but I wasn't going to waste my organic egg whites so I took one for the team (my team!) and ate it. I think it's safe to say I prefer my eggs savory.
After breakfast I took a shower. I like to do that once a month or so. (I kid, I kid.) When I got out of the shower, the first thing I did was flex. Don't you do that first thing? I took note of 1) how flippin' WHITE I am and B) how I'm making improvements, though small, in my physique. I thought I would take some progress pics so I can continually compare. Once I reviewed them, I realized I'm as pale and translucent as Caspar the Friendly Ghost and it's probably best I apply a little self-tanner and retake the pics.
First up, my "guns". Baby bicep is fast becoming a toddler! Coochie-coochie-coo!

Flexing my leg. While the muscle is there (mostly genetically), I DEFINITELY need to lean out my legs. UGHHH! I've got 13.5 weeks...gulp...YIKES!

Does anybody know who this gal is? Holy geez, her legs are amazing! To me, she's got the entire package: lean, built and feminine. If Jamie Eason is my fitness muse, then this gal is numero dos on the list, that's for sure! I found this picture when I looked up winners of some bikini SHORT class competition. She's a fellow lifetime "shortie" member so when I look at physiques, I'm usually drawn to SHORT gals because they are more relevant in my Hobbit world and somehow seem like the goal may *possibly* be attainable. All I know is, I better stop knockin' cardio and get to steppin' (literally) because, although I've got the muscle, it's the fat around them that keeps me from stopping traffic. And, let me tell you-- I wanna stop traffic!
1) Do you take progress pictures?
2) Are you trying to gain muscle, lost body fat or both? I'm trying MOSTLY to lose bodyfat while still hitting it hard in the gym to continue shaping my muscles.

yep that woman looks great! I think you are making awesome progress girl!! I take progress pics, but never will I put them on my blog, thats just personal preference...maybe and only maybe will I post final show pics! I just send them off every week to my coach! :)

Yes, I totally believe in progres pics b/c when the scale doesn't show you the love but you know you are doing what you need to do the pics WILL.
HA! No, do not mix the eggs with the oatmeal. Although, I do know people that do that and they like it. I don't think that is my thing though. I eat them both seperately. Try it again tomorrow but don't mix!
