Today I'm feeling really awesome! I've already done cardio and gone to morning Mass, which is great conditioning, physically and spiritually:) I just love going to Daily Mass first thing in the morning with my loving husband by my side! Giving God the first fruits of my day truly has done wonders for me, in all areas of my life, and I love the peace and joy God gives me. Not to mention the pastor is the cutest little old man! Oh my gosh, I just want to run up and give him the biggest hug ever when I see him! When he greets us as we leave, his eyes shine and smile with the love of God! He's adorable and if I didn't already have an equally adorable grandfather, I'd certainly choose this priest to be my "adopted" grandparent HA! He's the kind of man who you'd like to sit with and learn about "life" from someone so wise and humble.
I'm really looking forward to today's workout! Yesterday and this morning my workouts have sorta been in a "funk". Don't get me wrong, the motivation is THERE! Popping up out of bed as soon as my 5am alarm goes off is certainly testimony to my determination and dedication to 'do the darn thing', and even when I'm exhausted and would give my first born child to sleep in for one more hour, I push through it, knowing that it will feel so good to check that off my list.
However, when I got to the gym this morning, I got on the Crossramp and fired up my Polar F7 and noticed it was taking forrrrreeeeeeverrrrrr to detect my heartbeat. I know I may have looked half-dead, but I was certainly alive and well! I kept checking it as I was working out and when it finally did detect my heart rate, it read some ridiculous number that couldn't possibly be accurate. I think I'd be dead if my heart rate was what it said it was. I figured I was either getting interference from someone else's HR monitor (who apparently was on the verge of a massive heart attack) or there was an error. I think it was the latter. This irritated me because I'm all about keeping track of my calories IN as much as I am my calories OUT. That was the first annoyance. (But, not as annoying as this girl. Ughhh!):
Then, after about 30 minutes, I felt like my stomach was going to drop out of my body. I guess cardio got things movin' (to put it discreetly) and I had to cut my workout short to visit the, um, Powder Room. Cough, cough. That was second annoyance. After I, um...you know... I decided that I ought to just head upstairs and work my chest for the remaining 30 minutes.
As you may recall from yesterday, I was SUPPOSED to have already done my Chest/ABs workout last night, but failed miserably. Again, I was in a "funk". Last night I went to our apartment gym (which is the crappiest excuse for a gym I've ever
That means that I took two rest days off from weights (Wed/Thurs) and I started to feel anxious and have a little mental 'freak out' last night. That is not like me to go two days in a row without lifting. But, I'm feeling extra motivated today to squash it in the gym in an hour for a lower body workout and I'm feeling back on track! There is absolutely NO POINT in dwelling on missed workouts and all I can do is give it my all today. Each day is a new beginning and a clean slate.
Onward and upward!
Well, I'm going to ride this wave of motivation and get ready to head back to the gym. I feel like I was just there (oh wait, I was just there! HA!) I'm looking forward to a nice weekend with my handsome man since I'll be heading 'Home' to Texas next week to visit family while my lover is off on his annual guys' fishing trip. It will be great to see my family and spend time in the holy land. I mean, Texas:)
Be back in a while, crocodile! :)
QUESTION:
1) Do you ever get into a workout funk? How do you 'snap out of it' and get your mojo back?
2) What commercials do you find most annoying? As you can see from the picture above, I think the Progressive Auto Insurance girl is THE most annoying chick on the planet. Oh my gosh, when I see her on TV I have to hit mute immediately and look away. The Geico guy with the deep voice annoys me, too!

that is so sweet about your church! I had NO idea you were catholic girl! Ahh sometimes I just have no motivation for working out- I find that taking a few days off REALLY helps me! LOVE YOU
